Seasick

Imagine this:

Some people live their lives
in places where there is no coast
for hours around, and yet
they do not suffocate

in air that has no salt in it,
that has been trapped and hanging
over earth and asphalt for so long
it is in danger of forgetting what it’s like

to lie, belly-down,
heart-slowed,
on a grassy cliff,
breathing the tidal

blue

  1. I can even hear the seagulls and feel the warm sunny breeze…..
